About SendABC

SendABC was born from frustration with existing file sharing services. We were tired of upload limits, privacy concerns, and the hassle of creating accounts just to share a file with a friend.

In 2024, our team of privacy advocates and developers set out to build something different. We wanted to create a service that puts users first—where your files stay yours, where there are no artificial limits, and where privacy isn't a premium feature.

Using modern WebRTC technology, we built SendABC to connect your browser directly to your recipient's browser. Your files never touch our servers, and we literally cannot access them even if we wanted to.

Privacy by Design: We built SendABC so that we cannot access your files. End-to-end encryption and peer-to-peer connections ensure your data stays private.

No Artificial Limits: We don't believe in arbitrary file size restrictions. If your internet can handle it, SendABC can transfer it.

Free Forever: No premium tiers, no "upgrade now" prompts, no hidden costs. SendABC is free because we don't store your files.

Simple & Fast: No accounts, no downloads, no complicated setup. Just open SendABC and start sharing.

SendABC uses WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) to create direct connections between browsers. When you share a file, we help your browser find the recipient's browser, then step out of the way.

Your files are encrypted with AES-GCM encryption and transmitted over DTLS 1.3 secured connections. We use advanced streaming techniques to handle files of any size while keeping memory usage constant.

Our signaling servers only help establish the initial connection—they never see your files. Once connected, you're communicating directly with the recipient.

We're a small team of developers, designers, and privacy advocates based in New York. We've worked at companies like Google, Apple, and various startups, but we wanted to build something that puts users first.

We're not venture-funded, we don't have investors pushing for monetization, and we don't answer to anyone except our users. This allows us to make decisions based on what's best for privacy and user experience.

We believe in transparency. While SendABC isn't fully open source yet, we're working toward making our code available for security audits and community contributions.

In the meantime, you can inspect our client-side code in your browser's developer tools. Everything happens in your browser—there's no hidden server-side processing of your files.

We also publish regular transparency reports about our infrastructure, security practices, and any legal requests we receive (spoiler: we can't comply with most requests because we don't have access to your files).
